Notes on the Land of Earthquake & Fire tells the story of a Hollywood assistant who must save the day when his studio head boss mysteriously disappears. But if serving as an impromptu manny to the boss's horse-loving daughter and protecting the Malibu beach house from a strung-out producer doesn't come with a promotion, what can it possibly take to get ahead in this town? Frozen coffee drinks, illegal online pharmaceuticals, hot tubs and surfing. Disaster is prone to strike!
Notes on the Land of Earthquake & Fire is the second place winner of KCACTF's Paula Vogel Award in Playwrighting, a finalist for NYU's Goldberg Award for Playwrighting and a semi-finalist for the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Conference. The play received a staged reading at Montana Rep's Missoula Colony 11.
